Kirk B. Turner was a professor of Animal Husbandry at Texas Technological College, now Texas Tech University. In 1962-63, the Dean of the College of Agricultural Sciences attempted to dismiss Turner, and a hearing was scheduled for the Faculty Advisory Committee to determine if dismissal of a tenured professor was appropriate.
